Goalkeepers. Guardians of the clean sheet. The last line of defence. Having a good goalie in your Fantasy WSL team is essential if you're aiming for the top spot in your league this season. But with so many new transfers into the WSL, as well as the crazy amount of talent we have between the sticks, the question is: who should make your starting XI?

Before you get carried away, there's one small hurdle to overcome: your team budget. To come out on top, you'll need to use your £100m budget carefully – and that's where this article comes in. Ahead of our 2024-25 launch on Saturday 31 August, we've put together this list of some of the goalkeeper prices you can expect this season.

P.S. Can't spot your favourite goalie? The full list of prices will be available once the game has launched.

Daphne van Domselaar - 5.0M

Gooners, we know you were waiting for this one. After a successful stint at Villa that was cut short by injury, Arsenal have had their eye on the Dutch international for a while. She'll be fighting Zinsberger for the #1 shirt, but this is a very talented young player that you'll want on your squad.

Sabrina D'Angelo - 4.0M

D'Angelo has swapped places with van Domselaar, having previously served as Arsenal's second keeper. A Canadian international, D'Angelo has a great save rate. Couple this with a strong Villa defence and you're on to a winner.

Sophie Baggaley - 4.0M

Brighton might not be known for their defensive prowess, but bagging yourself a Baggaley might not be a bad choice. She's a young talent that has shown incredible promise over the last season, so overlook her at your peril.

Hannah Hampton - 5.0M

At 5.0M, this Chelsea keeper is a steal. This season, Hampton will be hoping to cement her spot as the Blues' number one keeper while fighting off serious competition in Mušović. This is a very good choice if you're looking for a reliable clean sheet week after week.

Shae Yanez - 4.0M

Palace may be new to the WSL, but Shae isn’t. Having done shifts at Bristol City and London City Lionesses, as well as various NWSL clubs, Yanez knows exactly what it takes to defend a clean sheet. This makes her a great budget pick if you're looking for someone to rotate in.

Courtney Brosnan - 5.5M

Brosnan is our most expensive goalie (joint with none other than Manchester City's Khiara Keating) for good reason. Flying the flag for Everton WFC, she made a staggering 75% of saves last season, so if you want her on your team, you're going to have to dish out some serious cash.

Janina Leitzig - 4.0M

Leitzig was a popular choice for Fantasy WSL managers last season. With an impressive record between the sticks, it was unfortunate that she was sidelined for the second half of the season with a shoulder injury. She'll be itching to get back on the pitch, and at 4.0M, this could prove to be a steal.

Rachael Laws - 5.0M

Liverpool's goalkeeper has put on consistently solid performances for her side in the last year, and we don't expect that to change this season. The Reds are on fire after a 4th place finish in May, so it's only natural that Laws is considered premium.

Khiara Keating - 5.5M

Need we say more? The young goalie is a shining star at City already, with many people seeing her as the future England #1. Keating's not going to come cheap, but the payoff will be worth it.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce - 4.0M

We're going to miss Earps, but her number two is finally getting the spotlight. An exciting talent who came to United last season, we can't wait to see Tullis-Joyce shine. And coupled up with a strong United defence, she could be a killer pick for this season.

Becky Spencer - 4.5M

Becky Spencer comes at a reasonable price this season, given her experience. Another great rotation pick for your squad, Spencer could provide a real boost to your points when Tottenham are up against the teams at the lower end of the table.

Kinga Szemik - 4.0M

Hailing all the way from Poland via the top tiers of French football, Szemik makes her WSL debut with the Hammies. You may not have heard her name, but her record speaks for itself. Kinga could very well be a key player for West Ham this season, and perhaps for your squad too.
