As we gear up for Gameweek 2 of the Fantasy WSL season, anticipation is building with plenty of promising fixtures on the horizon. Let’s take a closer look at The Scout's top picks that could help you secure crucial points this week!

GK & Defence

Rachael Laws (Liverpool)

Liverpool’s Rachael Laws is an excellent choice for this week, especially with a trip to West Ham, who have struggled to find the back of the net in 10 of their last 23 games. With Teagan Micah sidelined due to injury, Laws provides a secure option in goal. If Liverpool can maintain their defensive form, Laws has a good shot at bonus points—she collected five in clean sheet performances against Brighton and Leicester last season. If they can hold the Hammers at bay this time, expect a solid haul from her.

Maya Le Tissier (Manchester United)

For your defensive line, look no further than Maya Le Tissier. After a successful opening weekend against a bottom-half team, she’s primed for another strong performance against goal-shy Everton. Le Tissier's strong appetite for bonus points and potential to score from set pieces makes her a top pick this week. This could be another fantastic opportunity for a significant points haul.

Millie Bright (Chelsea)

Millie Bright continues to shine as Chelsea’s standout defensive option, especially after her impressive eight-point display against Aston Villa. With a favorable matchup against newly-promoted Crystal Palace, Bright is in a prime position to rack up defensive points. She not only offers a chance at a clean sheet but also poses a goal threat from set pieces.

Alex Greenwood (Manchester City)

Despite facing Brighton, who are still finding their feet, Alex Greenwood remains a solid pick. As one of the best defenders in the league, she offers a blend of security and set-piece threat. If City can keep a clean sheet, Greenwood will likely be in the mix for bonus points. Last season, she notched up seven bonus points, more than any of her teammates.

Midfielders

Marie Höbinger (Liverpool)

Marie Höbinger has been a key player for Liverpool, contributing significantly to their attacking efforts. Following her performance against Leicester, where she added another set-piece assist, she’s a standout option against West Ham. With her hand in six out of Liverpool’s last eleven goals, you can count on her to be heavily involved in the action again.

Frida Maanum (Arsenal)

Frida Maanum showed her potential with a goal and a bonus point in the opening game. Now, with a favorable fixture against Leicester City—where Arsenal triumphed 6-2 last season—she’s looking like a top midfielder for Gameweek 2. Maanum's role behind the striker and her set-piece responsibilities should allow her to maximize this opportunity.

Grace Clinton (Manchester United)

Grace Clinton had a strong debut for Manchester United, scoring an impressive eight points. With another matchup against Everton on the cards, she has the potential to repeat that success. Given United's scoring record against the Toffees last season, Clinton looks set to make a significant impact again.

Guro Reiten (Chelsea)

After a quiet opening game, Guro Reiten has a chance to bounce back against Crystal Palace, who just conceded four goals to Tottenham. With her involvement in set pieces and ability to score, Reiten’s upside remains high. Don’t let her last performance deter you—this is a perfect opportunity for her to shine.

Forwards

Bunny Shaw (c) & Lauren Hemp (Manchester City)

When it comes to forwards, Manchester City’s Bunny Shaw and Lauren Hemp are must-haves. Shaw is the standout captaincy choice this week, especially after a tough outing against Arsenal. She’s primed for a strong performance at home against Brighton. Hemp also had a notable game against Brighton last season, and together, this duo offers a formidable attacking threat.

Mayra Ramírez (Chelsea)

With uncertainty surrounding Lauren James’ fitness, Mayra Ramírez looks like a fantastic option for Chelsea against Crystal Palace. Having already demonstrated her high ceiling last season, this is the week to capitalize on her potential. If she starts, expect her to make a significant impact in this match-up against a newly promoted side.

As Gameweek 2 approaches, these picks from The Scout could be key to your success. Make sure to set your lineups and get ready for another thrilling week in the Fantasy WSL! Good luck!
