Making transfers in and out of your team this week doesn’t only depend on who’s in good form, or what fixtures are lined up. You also have to consider the prices of each player, which vary from week to week.

So how are price changes calculated in Fantasy WSL, and what should you consider when picking your starting XI?

Whether a player’s price rises or falls in the game depends solely on how many Fantasy WSL managers are bringing them into their teams. If a player’s selection percentage goes up, so does their price. Equally, if many managers transfer a player out of their team in a gameweek, their price will fall. It's all simple supply and demand, you know, economics 101.

Each week, we publish the risers and fallers on our social media channels, giving you an idea of what other Fantasy WSL managers are doing and how this is impacting the price changes.

Just because a player’s price has fallen doesn’t mean that they’re not a great player. They could be being transferred out because they’re temporarily injured, or because their club has a run of difficult fixtures.

However, the trick is to find the hidden gems that will deliver points for your team, and aren’t owned by many other Fantasy WSL managers. After all, the lower the overall selection percentage, the lower the player’s price is likely to be. Equally, some managers may want to buy better players while their price is falling, in the hope it will increase significantly in future gameweeks.

Mastering the ultimate Fantasy WSL team requires the perfect blend of strategic planning and staying ahead of the curve. Once people catch on to the trending players, their value will go up, so remember: think ahead, do your research, and you will be rewarded!
