The winter break is over, and WSL action is back in full swing. With fresh injuries reshaping lineups, there’s plenty of room to pull ahead by snapping up key players before everyone else catches on. If you’re aiming to start 2025 on a high, here are the GW11 picks The Scout recommends.

Goalkeeper & Defence

Brosnan Aston Villa are one of the better matchups for goalkeeping assets in Fantasy WSL. Already this season, three different goalkeepers have collected bonus points against them, making Courtney Brosnan an intriguing pick for GW11. With the potential for save points, bonus points, and a possible Everton clean sheet, there’s plenty to like about this choice.

McCabe An incredible run of 40 points in her last four games has made Katie McCabe the top-scoring defender in Fantasy WSL. If her form isn’t enough to sway you, consider her fixture—home to Crystal Palace, the perfect opportunity to hit her impressive ceiling. With joint-most bonus points this season and consistent attacking returns, McCabe is an absolute must-have for GW11.

Bright Chelsea’s trip to West Ham in GW11 offers a strong defensive opportunity. The Hammers haven’t scored a WSL goal against Chelsea since September 2022, and despite their improved attack this season, they’ve struggled to score against the league’s best. Millie Bright, nailed in the heart of Chelsea’s defence, has a strong chance of clean sheet and bonus points once again.

Neville Tottenham may not keep many clean sheets, but their home game against injury-hit Leicester City—who’ve scored only three goals all season—offers the ideal chance to back Spurs defenders. Ashleigh Neville stands out as the top pick, having played every minute this season and leading Spurs in bonus points. She delivered seven points in this same fixture last season, making her worth consideration.

Midfield

Roord & Reiten Both Jill Roord and Guro Reiten head into GW11 with momentum after scoring in last weekend’s FA Cup matches. With Chelsea and Manchester City both dealing with injuries, the security of knowing these midfielders are fit and firing adds extra appeal. Roord faces Manchester United at home—a team she scored against in last season’s 3-1 win at Old Trafford—while Reiten takes on West Ham, with Chelsea’s dominant attack behind her. Both are top-tier options.

Maanum Arsenal’s matchup against Crystal Palace is one of the most appealing fixtures of GW11, making midfield coverage essential. Frida Maanum’s immense attacking potential puts her ahead of other Arsenal midfielders, even with her unpredictable minutes. With Palace conceding the most bonus points to opposing midfielders this season, Maanum’s upside is hard to ignore.

Hanson Aston Villa midfielders are well worth targeting for their GW11 game against Everton, one of the league’s better matchups for midfield assets. Kirsty Hanson is the standout choice, with three assists this season and consistent minutes. Last season, this fixture saw all the bonus points go to midfielders—two of them from Villa. Hanson could be in for a big return.

Forwards

Russo (c) Alessia Russo has been in unstoppable form under Renée Slegers, racking up 46 points in her last five games. Now, Arsenal’s star forward faces bottom-placed Crystal Palace at home in what looks like a prime opportunity for another haul. With Russo now the most-owned forward in the game, she’s an obvious captain pick for GW11.

Ramírez With Lauren James still being eased back into action, Mayra Ramírez remains Chelsea’s top forward option. A trip to 10th-placed West Ham gives Ramírez another chance to shine, especially since the Hammers have conceded the second-most bonus points to opposition forwards this season. A haul could be on the cards.

England Beth England is already a top-five forward in Fantasy WSL, and her GW11 matchup against Leicester City only strengthens her case. Leicester have conceded the third-most bonus points to opposition forwards this season, including top bonus on four separate occasions. This game is tailor-made for England to deliver a standout performance.

That wraps up The Scout Selection for GW11. With the winter break behind us, it’s time to lock in your picks and hit the ground running in 2025. Good luck!
