It feels like only yesterday we were counting down the days to the first weekend of the 2024/25 season, but the final gameweeks are already creeping up on us. With the last matches of this season taking place on 11 May, and another international break to come before then, there are only seven gameweeks left to play before the summer break comes around again.

But a lot can change in seven gameweeks – especially if you have a plan. Whether you’re looking to beat your friends or simply improve on the points total you reaped last season, now’s the time to start thinking about how you can maximise the number of points you score over these last seven games.

The key is knowing where to start, and that’s where this article comes in. Below, we’ve put together some tips on how to make the last seven gameweeks count. Keep reading to check out our advice.

Use the Clean Slate Power-Up to your advantage

Eagled-eyed Fantasy WSL fans will have noticed you now have a ‘Clean Slate’ Power-Up available when selecting your team. This one-time Power-Up allows you to start afresh with your £100m budget and select a whole new team – almost like having unlimited transfers in one gameweek.

With a double gameweek coming up in Gameweek 15, now could be the perfect time to refresh your squad to maximise on players from the four teams that will have two matches this gameweek: Chelsea, Man City, Leicester and West Ham. However, this also means those four teams will ‘blank’ the following gameweek, where they’ll have no fixtures, so you’ll need to think carefully.

Ace the double gameweek

When a team is involved in a double gameweek, players from that team have a chance to score points twice over the course of one gameweek – making them a great pick for anyone looking to maximise their points. It’s for this reason that many people opt to use Power-Ups like Bench Boost, The Wall and Triple Captain these weeks.

However, as we’ve already mentioned, the week after a double gameweek (in this case, Gameweek 16) can leave those players with ‘blanks’, where they won’t play at all and will therefore have no chance of scoring points. So you’ll need to be tactical about the transfers you make in advance to ensure you can balance out your point scoring potential in both weeks.

Remember Visionary Points

If you’ve fallen behind and are looking for a way to catch up with friends in your league, taking time to consider Visionary Points is a good idea. These points, which are given to players who make a meaningful contribution to the match (aka, more than just clocking minutes) but have less than 2% ownership, can be hard to predict, but can make a real difference if you manage to get them.

In app, players that are eligible for Visionary Points are marked with a special Visionary badge, and you can check out the top Visionary Picks (aka, those which statistically have the biggest chance of return) on our socials before each gameweek deadline.

Good luck, and have fun!
